A Forming Community

Northeast Corridor Cohousing

Vision

To develop a cohousing community located on the northeast corridor between NYC and Philadelphia, within a 20 minute trip from a train station.

Mission

A joyful, intentional community that values knowing and helping one another. Our community will thrive by caring for our neighbors while respecting privacy and celebrating together our shared values.

What is Cohousing?

Cohousing is a form of semi-communal living that combines private homes with shared community spaces. These intentional communities are designed to promote interaction and connection between neighbors, with common areas and activities that encourage sharing and mutual support. Cohousing is characterized by a balance between privacy and community.

Shared Values

Inclusivity

We strive to foster an environment where every voice is heard, valued, and respected. We embrace diversity in all its forms, creating a space where individuals of varied backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives come together as one cohesive and vibrant community.

Sustainability

We conscientiously steward the resources around us, mindful of the impact on future generations. Through thoughtful consumption practices we strive to leave a positive ecological footprint.

Communal Effort

We believe that together, we can achieve more than we ever could alone. We cherish the spirit of collaboration, pooling our diverse talents and resources to create a thriving, interconnected community.

Multigenerational

We celebrate the beauty and wisdom that each generation brings to our shared tapestry of life. This ensures that elders are revered for their wisdom, children are cherished for their innocence, and every life stage in between is honored.

Healthy

We believe in fostering an environment that promotes not just the absence of illness, but the presence of vitality and joy in everyday life. Health is approached holistically to encourage community longevity, an active lifestyle, and socially healthy connections.

Civic Responsibility

We recognize the power of active participation in shaping our shared destiny. We are committed to fostering a culture where every voice matters, and each member is encouraged to be a steward of positive change within and beyond our walls.
